About Us

Our metalworking company was founded in 1974 as Smith Metal fabrications Limited at a premises in Beach Road, Newhaven, East Sussex. The company grew considerably in both size and reputation, quickly outgrowing the Beach Road site and making the move to our current factory in Avis Way, Newhaven, a necessity.

AEP Precision Engineering began trading in 1984 as a subsidiary within Smith Metal Fabrications also quickly growing considerably in size and reputation and now offering full CNC milling and turning facilities, supplying many industries such as automotive, marine, water treatment, leisure and the Ministry of Defence .

Today we are a leading specialist in the manufacture of structural and architectural metalwork and half a century of experience goes into every single one of our metalwork and engineering projects. With our extensive knowledge, extensive facilities and highly skilled fabricators and engineers, we can deliver any project from concept through to installation.
